Erin Brockovich...Arrested

Back in 2000 we all got to see Erin Brockovich's efforts to sue Pacific Gas & Electric for polluting the water supply of a small Southern California town when her story was adapted into a movie staring Julia Roberts.
Since then she has been known as an environmental activist. Well it seems this environmental do-gooder spent a little time tipping the bottle this past weekend.

On Friday evening a fish an game warden noticed a woman struggling to moor her boat at the Las Vegas Boat Harbor on Lake Mead. After her breathalyzer test revealed she was more than twice the legal limit at .08 she was arrested.

Brockvich, 52 of Agoura Hills, California, released a statement saying, ""At no time was the boat away from the dock and there was no public safety risk," Brockovich said. "That being said, I take drunk driving very seriously, this was clearly a big mistake, I know better and I am very sorry."

"After a day in the sun and with nothing to eat it appears that a couple of drinks had a greater impact than I had realized," she added.  She was released from the Clark County Dentention Center after posting $1,000 bail.

Under Nevada law, a first-time offense of boating while intoxicated is a misdemeanor that draws fines from $1,000 to $2,000 but no jail time. Authorities were unsure whether it was Brockovich's first arrest on the charge.

I'll give you a topic Erin Borckovich knows how to neither drink or use sunscreen....discuss!
