Ex- New England Patriot Aaron Hernandez was arrested just before nine Wednesday morning. He was led out of his home by two detectives and taken to the North Attleborough police station where he was booked. All of this stemming from his alleged involvement in a homicide investigation (check it out more details here).
Shortly after his arrest he was released by the New England Patriots. The Patriots released a statement saying, "A young man was murdered last week and we extend our sympathies to the family and friends who mourn his loss. Words cannot express the disappointment we feel knowing that one of our players was arrested as a result of this investigation. We realize that law enforcement investigations into this matter are ongoing. We support their efforts and respect the process. At this time, we believe this transaction is simply the right thing to do."
Hernandez was arraigned at 2:40pm and charged with Murder and five gun related charges. He is being held without bail.
