After more than a week of speculation fueled by search warrants and clandestine meetings with famous attorney's. Patriots tight end Aaron Hernandez was handcuffed and led from his home by two police officers this morning.
A little over a week ago Hernandez's name popped up in the middle of a homicide investigation in North Attlebrough. Odin Lloyd, a friend of Hernandez was found dead less than a mile from Hernandez's home in an industrial park. Since then police have searched his home several times and speculation has been swirling about his envolvment.
ABC news is reporting that an arrest warrant for Hernandez was prepared last week after investigators learned that he destroyed his cell phone and home security system. Yesterday a judge sealed all the court documents related to this case. Later today we will find out his offical charges.
UPDATE: The New England Patriots announced via Twitter that they have release Aaron Hernandez.
UPDATE: Aaron Hernandez will be arraigned at 2pm today.
